Rock pop
Pop rock is rock music with a lighter, smoother approach that is more reminiscent of commercial pop music. Originating in the 1950s as an alternative to rock and roll, early pop rock was influenced by the beat, arrangements, and style of rock and roll, but placed a greater emphasis on professional song writing and recording craft.
Fall out boys
Fall Out Boy is an American rock band formed in Wilmette, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, in 2001. The band consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Patrick Stump, bassist Pete Wentz, lead guitarist Joe Trohman, and drummer Andy Hurley. The band originated from Chicago's hardcore punk scene, with which all members were involved at one point. The group was formed by Wentz and Trohman as a pop punk side project of the members' respective hardcore bands, and Stump joined shortly thereafter.
The Fall out boy music video is a narrative based video. The music video starts off in old Roman times. The camera tilts down on to a street of villagers, while we follow an old man in a hooded clock handing people objects. We soon have an establishing shot of the village from a bird’s eye view. Then we find these people in an old time fighting ring against a much bigger man. The larger man starts to win, until the three smaller men come together. This showed that if we come together we are stronger.
I found that these music videos have meanings behind the storylines.

This is a narrative Music video, "the scientist". This goes along the story lines of a car crash which is not revealed until the end. This music video works in reverse. It looks like the video and has been put into reverse. I like this feature of the music video as is shows where he went and what happened before. The props that are used in this music video are very limited compared to other music videos. The two pros that are used are a car and a mattress. The singer start on the mattress as the camera zooms out into a bird’s eye view. The car is show as he's prop to get away from what is about to happen. The video mainly focuses on the locations that the music video is set. The music video goes through a series of locations which are the streets which showed him walking and fades in and out of a person dong BMX tricks. As he is going backwards he goes over the wall backwards, cutting to two people playing basketball. We cut back to him as he continue to all's though rail way and a forest, soon returning back to the car crash. The first two locations link as they show how skilled and able bodied they are compared to what state he might be in now. The second two just show how far he has travelled to get help.

This is a hybrid Music video, "sugar". This goes along the story lines of the band doing surprise performances. This is a hybrid music video because the video goes along the story line of surprising people at wedding, which is narrative. What makes this a hybrid is that the band performs to the people. The props that are used in this music video are a car this is for the performers to go to and from all the different wedding receptions. The other props that are used are band instruments, the resin for using these props is to be able to perform and surprise the wedding. The locations that the music video is shown are the roads this are showing the journey that the band go on to perform to people. The other locations are the different. Wedding represents happiness. As the receptions are all individual it shows the mix of people that like the same music.
