We didn't have any big problems when filming and editing.
The main little challenges we came crossed was us no being fully prepared
ourselves. We all know the song but we didn't know the lyrics word from word.
The other challenges we had were matching up the videos with the song when
editing, as we never had to do this before. We filming it were very funny but
also awkward, as we haven't lip sync before. All the members in our group
participated in the filming, lip-syncing and editing. The problems we had we
easy to overcome as a group.
It wasn't helpful that all our members didn't know the
lyrics. To solve this problem we brought up a lip-syncing video onto the
computer screen, for our members to read the screen. This helped as they know
the words when being filmed. This worked but it went the person reading the
screen wasn't looking as the camera the whole time, or didn't keep up with the
words in time.Matching the video to the music. This was a problem at first as we had to figure out when the person starts to lip-sync. We placed the music into iMovie and placed the videos onto then we had to simply crop the star and finishes of the videos. This was easy to fix as we only needed to crop.
In conclusion completing this task was very beneficial to all of us. As it gave us a sneak peak in how it’s going to be when we make our music video. The advantages to making the trial video was each clip we was continuing the song, but in our real music video we are not going to have this privilege as the video cuts to non-lip syncing videos too. This will be a new challenge to my group later on.
