34. Riverside Filming Filming/ Production Post

A couple of days ago we went down to film at riverside country park which was our first lot of filming. As we planned to film at 3 pm this is straight after school, so we had to be organised and bring the costumes to school and get changed at school. We didn't start filming until 4pm as we didn't take into account the time it takes to meet, change, dive to the location and find the spot that we wanted to film. This didn't matter too much as it was still daylight though the whole time that we filmed for. We did come across some challenges on our way and changes, which I will be discussing later on.
When we got to this location we were able to see what was available to us. As we walked about we thought go better and more creative ideas then we originally planned to do from our story bored. This was an advantage because we were able to take shots that suited the area more. The reason why we didn't take any of the shots that we planned to do because the area didn't best fit the shots that we planned. Another reason was because we needed certain props from the location like a bench. Last reason why we didn't was because the new ideas were many betters then the original ones. As we want to make our music video the best it can be. We need to be open to changes and ideas.

Eleanor filmed our establishing shots that she found that she found good. She did this because she thought they would by good space fillers and that they will help show what location we are in. the filming was shared out equally, which was good. The first shot that I film was a point of view shot coming out of the busses. This was particularly challenging as I had to try and hold the camera still. It was hard to keep still because the busses had vines going across the floor, I was trying to not full over. I also film the shot of Eleanor on the rocks this was also challenging to do because I was on slop. I used the tripod for this as it helped me level my shot out. On the tripod there was a level stick bubble which told me when I was level which was very handy. To level the camera out I had to make the legs different lengths to each other.
I was filmed three times that day. For the three person shot we used the tripod. This was very helpful as we were able to press record and all is in the shot at the same time. With the walking way frame we plan to make this into a jump shot, showing time has passed. Eleanor filmed a wide shot of me sitting in the corner on the floor relaxed. Paige filmed me doing some lip syncing on the same bank the Eleanor did hers. We only film five shots at this location as we found there was not a lot in this location and we were starting to lose light, which we didn't want to happen. We originally planned to go to dockside but riverside took longer than expected. So we have agreed to film this location on another day.

In conclusion my group and I think that we filmed some good shots that we can us in our video. I liked how we thought of these better and more creative ideas when we got there as it’s more the location more interesting. Some shots did take multiple times to get the right one, but it was worth it as we got good shots that we can us in our video.
