39. Changing From iMovie to Final Cut Pro

We have started to edit but as it’s a new year it is time for change. Last year we used a programme called iMovie, which is a programme that is free on the iMac. This programme was good as we were able to make lots of clips into a continuous clip. As we are going from AS to A2 we want to show our progress and skill level has improved. To do this we are changing to a new programme called Final Cut Pro. This programme should make our music video more professional.
To find this programme we did some research into what would be the best programme to us. We found out that final cut was a good programme to use. From this we read reviews on peoples experience with using Final Cut Pro and they were all positive. We also YouTube videos to see what you can to on the programme that iMovie can't. This was very helpful as it confirmed to us that we should us Final Cut pro.
We didn't find Final Cut Pro as straight forward compared to iMovie. To get around this problem we had to watch YouTube tutorials. Which were every helpful as they took you though step by step. After doing this after a couple of days and when we get stuck we all feel that we can us final cut much better compared to before. After learning how to using final cut pro for a little while we have found that we can do more then we could before. We now can enhance the image quality as we found our videos very raw. This is not very conventional to the pop genera. We are also able to use more transitions compared to before.
In conclusion my group and I are very happy that we have made this transition from iMovie to Final Cut Pro. This is making our video look more professional and crisper. This also shows our transition from AS to A-Level, which is something we are trying to do.
