49. Rochester Storyboards

Like the last storyboards Rochester wasn't made in the original ones. So we had some for Rochester to give us an outline for what we want to film and want Rochester to look like. Paige and I made these storyboards as Eleanor was busy doing something else. In Rochester my character is not seen at all but this works our okay as I am seen a lot throughout the music video. Not having me there will show that we do meet in pairs and not just as a three.

The second shot is a close-up of Girl number 2 faces this is to show how happy she is to be out with her friend who she is very close to. There is no angle on this shot just a straight angle. The reason why we have put a close up as our second shot of Rochester is because we want to focus on our artiest as they are what our audience want to see when watching this video.

The sixth shot is a worms eye view shot of Rochester outside. This is to show how big the castle is and to make a big statement of it. The reason for this because the next shot will be a bird’s eye/point of view shot as we will see the character at the top of the castle. The point of the shot is to show how high up the girls are. With the birds eye shot it is emphasising how grate of a high it is.

The tenth shot is a wide shot this will be featuring Rochester high-street. The camera will pane up to the bunting, but we might also try a shot where the camera zooms out showing what the high-street has to offer. The point of this shot is because the characters have just gone from the castle to the high-street having this shot will show the transformation between the two.

The fourteenth is wide shot of the outside of a cafe in Rochester. This will suggest that they are going to sit down for a snack or for a drink. This will show the culture of the place and what kind atmosphere Rochester has. This is a wide shot to show the whole of the building.

The eighteenth shot is a long shot. In this shot the audience will be able to see girl number three get up and walk towards the counter to make an order and pay for the beverages. The reason why we chose a long shot as it would show the characters body language and this will also show what she is doing. We might do this twice one tracking and one not to get us variety.

Making these Storyboards has been very helpful as we all know what we are going to film on the day and we won't need to waste time as it will already be written down.
