68. Final Digipak

 

After our discussion the other day we came to the conclusion that my design was best suited to our music video and song. The reason why we picked my design over the other two were:

 

• Looks professionally done as the design has been layout on these templates making them look real. Another reason why the digipak looks professional is because of the composition and that I included the features that a digipak have. These features are barcode, record label logos and song credits.
• The overall idea that the digipak is colourful but also has the element of grey just like our music video.
• The idea of having a pocket as this is conventional of a digipak to have. In the pocket there is a signed photo of the artist.
• The CD has a fad of grey going across the image slowly.

There were elements that we picketed up on and thought we could improve on. These elements are:

•  On the CD put the lyrics around the edge of the CD as they tend to have a bit more on them. When we went to do this after the discussion we found that it was very hard to do this and decided to leave it out as what we did manage to do didn't look right.
• On the front cover, on the left hand said we talked about brightening the image as we could only see my face. Later on we found it was the projectors thought, because when we looked it on the computer it was fine.

Overall we are very happy with the outcome of picking this design for the reasons spoken about above and in our video the other day. Doing this post to talk about why we have chosen this design and the elements that we could improve on, has been very beneficial to us as its made the reason why we picketed the design more clear and gave me the opportunity to justify our reasons.
