My group and I sat down and disused what possible songs
would we use. We went onto You Tube to listen to some songs. This helped us to
find out what we liked and disliked. We all agreed to have a female artiest as
we don't know any man that would be willing to take part in our music video.
The songs were:
- Bad At Love by Halsey
- What about us by P!nk
- New Rules by Dua Lipa
- Symphony by Clean Bandit
We all like these songs as we like how the artiest voice
sounds. Another reason why we liked these songs was because of the beat and
lyrics. Through all three are pop songs they are all different in what they are
about. One thing they do have in common was that they weren't too up beat or
down beat. We liked this because it
wouldn't make it too difficult to think of good ideas that go with the song.
When we met up again we needed to decide on which song to
choose. We managed to narrow it down to Symphony by Clean Bandit and What about
us by P!nk. To come to a conclusion we have a deeper look into the lyrics and
pull them apart to see what they are about. We concluded that What about us is
a very much break-up some, whereas Symphony is what you interoperate it to be. Before
watching the original music video of Symphony, I didn't realise it was about a
partner that died and the song reflects back at their time together. As
Symphony is what you interoperate it to be we thought this song would be much
better to do.
This will be a narrative type of video. We diced that this
would be best as we felt that performance based video would not suit us in our
recourses. The different narratives we thought of were:
- A couple getting together but there is a force trying to keep them apart.
- Friends going out together before they go away to university.
- A young couple getting ready for their first kid.
